Frankenstein

I found this book difficult to read. The beginning was long and slow, as if it were to drag on forever. At times, I was a bit more interested when the action would increase. I think I most enjoyed when Victor's monster told his side of the story. I thought it was moving. It showed a side of the wretch that I wouldn't expect to see in a monster. I felt I could relate to Victor's thirst for knowledge and his regret for gaining dangerous knowledge. I've also experienced the determination to find out something, but then later regretting it because of the pain it brought. Although, I did not experience it as greatly as Victor did. I think the Shelley did a good job at writing it. I liked her usage of words and I felt it helped to better my vocabulary. I probably would not recommend it to another my age unless they typically read books in that writing format. The book makes you want to think twice about the questions you want to find the answers for, because the answers could be a lot more harming than you'd expect.
